WISE MIND COUNSELLING

WHO I AM
I grew up in the Central West Plains of New South Wales. Growing up in a rural area, I watched friends, peers and people around me struggle to afford access to appropriate mental health care. Without running the risk of being cliche, this played a large role in my decision to become a social worker.

I attended the University of New England, studying a Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying). I then completed a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Practice. Since finishing up with university, I went on to acquire my accreditation as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) in 2022/23. A credential I have maintained since this time.

I have worked in programs aimed at delivering community-based, psychosocial supports to adults aged 18-65+
with complex mental health presentations. I spent the most recent two years working in a youth complex mental health program providing counselling and case management to young people aged 12-25 years old. My experience in a regional area has taught me a lot about the lack of cost-effective and consistent services available for young people. It is my hope to be one of many private practices that can help bridge this gap.
If you want to know more about the services I offer, feel free to get in touch with me.
